Happy mail!!

Well, I couldn't help myself.....

I got back onto DC and needed up having a catch up through various crafters blogs and sites and I ended up with some purchases falling miraculously into my shopping basket.......on several sites......

Here is my first lot of happy mail.

This was received from NG Cards and she sent with it one of her amazing cards she made!!!

So I ended up with a cute LoTV stamp (I fear a new addiction), a set of sentiment stamps and of course some forever friends...because I am still addicted too colouring them!

I bought the other wee stamp on the right as Incy had sent me one of the same type but a different design and it needed a friend :)

This is the card that Natalie made and i just had to show it off as it is, as always, stunning!!!

I had just been in a car crash so this was the perfect little pick-me-up I needed :)

Have A Gift Christmas

Morning all!

:-)

Another miserable day here in Glasgow!

Here is today's make!

Topper is a Forever Friends stamp inked with Momento ink which was then coloured with Promarkers.

I used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and fabric flowers as embellishments in the corners with a hint of the DoCrafts golden berries to add some warmth.

I had some of the blue twine which I used instead of ribbon and the sentiment was edge distressed with the tim holtz tool.

Glossy accents was used to cover the candi dots and the edges of the image for decoration!

Wild Orchid Crafts have these flowers on sale just now so I couldn't resist topping up! :-)

Christmas at Night

Today's make so far!

This one in my head was a simple idea and I suppose it is, but all the faffing with making a circular aperture card was just irritating!

Worth it though!

Have a look :)

The night sky was done using Inkylicious brushes with Momento and Distress inks with mountain templates.
The image was then stamped with tinted embossing ink and then heat embossed with Heat It Up Silver powder.

The patterned paper on the front section was from a Christmas signature series linen paper pack by DC and was mounted on a piece of card for extra strength as I wanted it sitting out in a 3d effect from the background.

Silver peel offs were used as an accent and then the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers were added and highlighted with diamond dust as a snow effect and the sentiment was stamped from an Inkylicious stamp set in Versafine Ink, The edges of the sentiment were distressed with the Tim Holtz paper distress tool I reviewed before (see tutorials in the menu above).

I added some sparkles with some sticky jewels at the center of the snowflakes and used some of the paper Candi dots with Anita's Glossy Accents to look like brads.

Winter Wonderland

I have been having another play around with my distress and momento inks with my Inkylicious brushes and I am impressed.
I don't think I will use the brayer again!!

The brushes give you far much more control over details of where you want your colours placed.
I had made cards of similar looks using the brayer before, but it was always a bit hit or miss, whereas this? It works everytime!

Inks Used: Distress and Momento.
Brushes: Inkylicious
Stamps: Inkylicious Winter Wonderland.

SECC craft fair 2014

In this image you can see the stamps I purchased on the first day of the craft fair.... Break the bank you think? Not a chance! The twenty-one crafters companion sets were only £1 each! Also, the CD ROM to go with it was also £1. The five stamps with the orange header on the packaging are from Inkylicious. The most expensive stamp there was £4!! The two to the right are Stampendous stamps, bit more expensive at £18 for the two.

New storage box (oh, the excitement) and the little packs are little coloured punched card circles that are shaped to look like buttons or brads when on a card! I came across them at a stall and had no idea where to get them before then! Mum had a little tub of them which I was slowly running down! So glad I found them. Turns out you can get them online and there are loads of colours!

The obligatory bundle of peel offs for borders from Pinflair, 3 tubes for silicone glue for only £3 and two packs of gold and silver A5 mirrored card for only £2!

ON SALE! £9 Never had tried X cut before but these were gorgeous!

I had to try these brushes, so I bought one pack of three to try out with my inks to get away from the brayer! I must say....Never touching the brayer again, these are so simple.

I went to clarity stamps to replace card that mum had a box of.... I got the wrong stuff, but this works for all of my ink blending with the new Inkylicious brushes! :D

Distress inks for £3 a pad you say? "Give me a basket and do you take card?" I say!

Sun and moon templates for the inkylicious brushes.

Hills and mountains template from Inkylicious. Got it free :D

OK.....so I went back the second day purely to get more of these brushes......

....and I got more distress inks....

Then I decided to try a couple of these and I had spent so much (£150) at one stall over the two days that I got three free :)

....and I bought more Inkylicious stamps......

............and more.....

..........and some more.....

...these ones fell in the basket and I didn't notice them, honest.........
