Have A Gift Christmas

Morning all!

:-)

Another miserable day here in Glasgow!

Here is today's make!

Topper is a Forever Friends stamp inked with Momento ink which was then coloured with Promarkers.

I used Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and fabric flowers as embellishments in the corners with a hint of the DoCrafts golden berries to add some warmth.

I had some of the blue twine which I used instead of ribbon and the sentiment was edge distressed with the tim holtz tool.

Glossy accents was used to cover the candi dots and the edges of the image for decoration!

Christmas at Night

Today's make so far!

This one in my head was a simple idea and I suppose it is, but all the faffing with making a circular aperture card was just irritating!

Worth it though!

Have a look :)

The night sky was done using Inkylicious brushes with Momento and Distress inks with mountain templates.
The image was then stamped with tinted embossing ink and then heat embossed with Heat It Up Silver powder.

The patterned paper on the front section was from a Christmas signature series linen paper pack by DC and was mounted on a piece of card for extra strength as I wanted it sitting out in a 3d effect from the background.

Silver peel offs were used as an accent and then the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers were added and highlighted with diamond dust as a snow effect and the sentiment was stamped from an Inkylicious stamp set in Versafine Ink, The edges of the sentiment were distressed with the Tim Holtz paper distress tool I reviewed before (see tutorials in the menu above).

I added some sparkles with some sticky jewels at the center of the snowflakes and used some of the paper Candi dots with Anita's Glossy Accents to look like brads.

Winter Wonderland

I have been having another play around with my distress and momento inks with my Inkylicious brushes and I am impressed.
I don't think I will use the brayer again!!

The brushes give you far much more control over details of where you want your colours placed.
I had made cards of similar looks using the brayer before, but it was always a bit hit or miss, whereas this? It works everytime!

Inks Used: Distress and Momento.
Brushes: Inkylicious
Stamps: Inkylicious Winter Wonderland.

Inkylicious Brushes and Sunset

Having another play around with my Inkylicious brushes with distress inks and momento inks!
I love this stamp from Inkylicious!
I had to have a go at creating something like this just to see how it would go.

I am quite pleased with it apart from the way I lined up the bottom of the stamp with the bottom of the inked circle behind for the sunset.

Will need to revisit this one I think!

Next two Christmas cards.

Morning all!!

These two cards were made yesterday but this is me just getting the chance to post them here!!

The blue card:

Stamp by fairy doodles. Stamped with memento tuxedo black and coloured with promarkers.
Flowers by wild Orchid Crafts.
Paper edges distressed with the Tim Holtz tonic thread cutter.

The red card:

Stamp by Penny black from the new range.  Stamped with memento tuxedo black and coloured with promarkers.
Flowers by wild Orchid Crafts.
Paper edges distressed with the Tim Holtz tonic thread cutter.

I like these two cards and enjoyed the fact that for once I got to make two in a morning!!!

After these were shown on Facebook, I have had three offers, one from a shop to sell my cards for me.

Something to ponder.

They fell in.....honest.

Well I had an appointment in town this morning and stupidly went for a nosey in Millers art store at the paper craft section.
They had the DC stuff in and some stuff may have well ended up in my basket.
Oops.
Buttons, berries, decoupage and stamps!!

I found the buttons and berries for £1 a pack which I thought was good value!!

Some of the newer stamps are lovely too!

I really shouldn't leave money in the banks because those late night purchases all mount up!

I am a photographer and have loved this penny black stamp since I first saw it so treated myself.

Promarkers and stamping.

No idea where this stamp is from as it is not labelled!!

Thanks for looking!

Perfect Pearls take one!

Well I came across some perfect pearls in the craft stash and I had to look up to see how to use them. I decided to try the resist technique using personal impressions and V&A stamps.

Range of colours I have.

Versa mark watermark ink pad then two colours of pearls and stamped again with versamark to take off some of the powder.

Straight forward stamping with a clear sticky ink and going over with various colours!

Both of these were done using the same pearls colour!
In the first one I coloured the paper with distress ink and then used the purple powder to make it shimmer and used the same ink pad to take off some of the powder leaving the impression of the stamp.
On the second one, I simply covered the paper with a clear sticky ink and used the same powder and took off some of the powder with the ink and stamp as before.

Exact same as above, just using green instead of purple.

A simple stamp and colour with the bronze.
